Currency: Emirati Dirham (100AED = 220Nok = $27.23US = £18.92 (Apr 2016 rates))
Cities Visited: Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, & Abu Dhabi
A country where its city of Dubai is the fastest growing city on Earth, where the skyline stands out to compete with the worlds best, a international melting pot for ex-pats who outnumber the locals; This was the information I had heard of before my first visit to UAE. With 7 Emiratian States making up the country, Abu Dhabi and Dubai stand out as the modern cities while the others are more aligned with traditional Middle Eastern vibe.
My first trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi was a lot to soak in for the first 24 hours but perhaps it was the hot temperature making life tougher. However after several trips to UAE and having a good network of local friends now, I have to say it is
one of my favourite destinations to visit. Some of the positives that bring me back here are:
The Cuisine: Everything is covered from A to Z.
The Shopping: (Milan, London and New York combined in one city is the best way to describe it.
The Entertainment: (From day to evening there is always something to do.
The People: You will always meet someone new and interesting.
The Weather: You will get a tan any time of the year.
The Country is developing fast and worth a quick getaway to get some sun, food, shopping, and entertainment.
